Me and my boyfriend went here to pick up shrimp for dinner and just grabbed the two bags at the front of the row. We come home and open the bags and it has a fishy taste to it, not like a shrimp smell more like a rotten fish smell. We just a thought maybe it’s because it’s a brand. We finish cooking our meal and it tastes nothing like how it ever has it has a nasty fish smell and it tastes terrible, I’ve made this recipe so many times and the only difference is the brand so I checked the best if used by dates (current date is 07/24/2026) the dates on the bath one is dated best by 06/27/2027 and the other is dated 08/09/2027 meaning that bag has been expired for about a month.

If you like expired food then this is the spot for you! Nothing better than expired seafood soup. My wife has picked up sliced cheese from this location and comes home and opens it and it had mold all over it. This has happened twice now and the young lady on the phone didn’t really have a care in the world about it so the customer service is top notch. They need a remodel for all their cold items because that’s why the cheese continues to mold because they still use the cold area without doors so items don’t stay cold enough. I also went to buy saltine crackers and every box that was on the shelf of the brand we like had expired 5 months ago but they still had them on the shelf to be sold! I brought all the boxes to the Service desk, which they thanked me for, but yet continue to have expired food on the shelves. Maybe it’s time for them to have a visit from the health department. Fresh Market, East Layton off Fairfield and Gordon is a large grocery store offering a pharmacy, meat counter, deli, bakery, fresh produce and anything else on your grocery list plus some toys, cards, gift bags/wrap and flowers. The service is great. The store is clean, well organized, and fully stocked. There is plenty of parking and pick up is available. This is a great shop when you want to run in and grab a few things rather than going to big box stores.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Fresh Market. All locations seem to have very friendly employees and the stores are always so clean and tidy. Pretty good prices as well.

This store is one of my favorites in the freshmarket chain. It has a great new section for scrapbook fun. Isle are organized nicely and everything is easily found. They have beautiful flowers and this cute area to order balloons.
